Students from the Instrument Academies will perform at the Kauniainen Music Festival on Sunday, 2 November 2025, starting at 5 pm. The concert will take place at the New Pavilion (Uusi Paviljonki), located at Läntinen Koulupolku 3 in Kauniainen.
The concert will feature students from the String Academy, the Youth Piano Academy Finland and the Brass Academy. The programme includes chamber music and solo pieces. The full list of performers and the complete programme will be announced in October.
The New Pavilion in Kauniainen is widely regarded as one of the best chamber music venues in Finland. It is just a 20-minute train journey from Helsinki.
During the concert, Erkki Liikanen, a member of the Instrument Academies Association's board, will interview the young performers, as well as conductor and professor Susanna Mälkki. Topics of discussion will include music education, talent, and the challenging journey to becoming a musician.
