Re-launched in 2023, the Brass Academy trains talented young brass players in different parts of Finland.
The Brass Academy is a coaching group for young, talented brass players. Students chosen to the Brass Academy receive intensive teaching alongside the basic instrument studies offered by their own music schools.
The Brass Academy organises short teaching periods around Finland seven to nine times a year, inviting local young brass players to participate. During these teaching periods, students receive individual instruction, participate in playing as a group, and learn more about the physical and mental wellbeing of a brass player.
The Brass Academy was active between 2012 and 2015 and was relaunched in 2023 with support from the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
